August, 1 2004 -  Atavia began a new offering to clients this month... feeding sponsored links onto their informational Web sites. "Sponsored links provide a unique opportunity for publishers to monetize their Web traffic," says Deric Cadora, President of Atavia. "By feeding topic-specific advertisements to their sites, our customers can attain high click through rates and earn a fairly consistent cash bonus from Web visitors."

Atavia works in association with Google to feed the advertisements. Google offers revenue sharing to Web sites that feed their sponsored links. Publishers get paid each time a visitor clicks on a sponsored link. Revenue from these clicks vary based on topic, but Atavia has seen pay rates varying from five cents to nearly three dollars from a single click.

Atavia originally partnered with Google to feed links from a few proprietary domain names before offering the service to clients. These domains include:

Atavia also assists advertisers with optimizing performance of pay-by-click advertising thru Google and Overture.
