Atavia today launched AtlantaOasis.com, a Web site focused on the Middle-Eastern Musical Arts community in Atlanta. AtlantaOasis.com features a calendar of events that provides visitors with detailed information about shows and special events related to Middle-Eastern music around Atlanta. The events include belly dance shows and perfomances by local and visiting musicians.
However, the site offer much more than an events listing. AtlantaOasis.com provides profiles of local artists and a resource section for students of the art. AtlantaOasis.com will also publish enlightening articles related to Middle-Eastern music and, by growing the community, hopes to encourage more talented artists to visit Atlanta.
AtlantaOasis.com is the brainchild of Atavia president, Deric Cadora, and is operated by Atavia. Mr. Cadora is a student of Middle-Eastern percussion and has been seen informally performing at venues around town.
